In this ground breaking workshop you will learn how to design and build Permaculture Earthworks such as Swales, Berms and Dams that passively harvest natural runoff. Come and experience planting a 3/4 acre food forest with nut trees, then mulberries and plums as the medium (and main) canopy with guilds of gooseberries,different currants and herbs like comfrey around them. Lower storey includes saskatoons, sea buckthorn and cherry plums, while the next storey down will be mainly blueberries. There will be climbing vines including grapes, kiwis and cane fruit around the fences plus a 300 foot row of asparagus along the south fence.Brandon Bauer will be leading the workshop, and there will be a combination of teaching time and planting time, with a lot of time in the food forest itself.
